GUESTS

Bruce McAvaney

Justifiably called 'The Master Sportcaster', McAvaney has covered almost every sport and major event including horse racing, athletics, AFL, motor racing, tennis, golf, the Olympics and Commonwealth Games.

A trusted voice of Australian sport for three decades, he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2002 for his service to sports broadcasting and the community.

The Bombers faithful has fond memories of McAvaney's commentary of iconic Essendon moments, including his passionate call of Gary Moorcroft's mark of the year in 2001.

McAvaney will join the show to reveal the best footballer he's ever seen, give insights into how he'll call footy without no crowds, share tips on overcoming adversity, and choose the winner of Dons Digital's Your Call from Home series - a seven-week competition inviting Bombers supporters to submit their commentary for mighty moments.

Blake Caracella

A popular member of the Bombers' 2000 premiership team, Caracella returned to Essendon at the end of the 2019 season as an assistant coach.

His decorated career spanned 187 games at Essendon, Collingwood and Brisbane before he embarked on his coaching career.

The 43-year-old served as an assistant coach at the Magpies in 2007, before a seven-year stint at Geelong (part of 2011 premiership) and three-year stint at Richmond (part of 2017 and 2019 premierships).

This season marks Caracella's first as a coach at Essendon, where he'll oversee the midfield and attack.

He'll join the show to talk about the Bombers' return to training and preparation for the resumption of the season.
