FATHERS. SONS. FOOTBALL

Hird, Lloyd, Fletcher, Fraser, Silvagni, Richardson, Bourke and Darcy have all been household names throughout generations, and there are numerous others. ‘Fathers and Sons’ will be the theme for the second Dick Reynolds Club Luncheon for 2002, to be held at the Grand Hyatt next Tuesday 25 June.

Luckily for Essendon Football Club, John Lloyd only played 49 games for Carlton and not 50. If he had, Essendon champion Matthew Lloyd could easily be running around in a Carlton guernsey because he would have been drafted under the father-son rule. You will meet the Lloyd duo and former Bomber captain Ken Fraser and son Mark along with compere Tim Watson and many other past Essendon players.
