FLETCHER A CHANCE TO PLAY
Everyone watching the Bombers game yesterday would have screamed in horror when Dustin Fletcher landed awkwardly after a marking contest against Trend Croad. You could feel Fletcher's pain when his left knee buckled under him and he was taken straight from the ground. It appeared as though the Subiaco severe injury trend was set to continue for the Bombers. However the good news is the injury to Fletcher is not as bad as it looked.

""We have rehab this morning and we will further assess Dustin's injury but at this stage it looks like he has ligament damage to the left ankle. We will see how he comes up this week and he is a chance to be available for the match against Richmond,"" fitness coach John Quinn said.
Dean Rioli also joined Fletcher on the bench yesterday when he strained his hamstring in the second quarter. He took no further part in the game and at this stage is expected to miss one to two weeks. Paul Barnard will be available for selection for the Round 7 match against Richmond. He was a late withdrawal from yesterday's match with a slight hamstring strain. Good news for the Bombers with Mark Mercuri also set to return. Mercuri was also a last minute withdrawal from the Fremantle match with knee soreness.
Round 6 proved to be another difficult week to pick a winner. The biggest upset came on Saturday night at the Dome when Sydney defeated Collingwood by 20-points. It is the third consecutive loss for the Magpies. The six interstate teams all had comprehensive victories over the weekend and West Coast, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane all showed that they can win matches at home and also away.
