Bombers pass 45,000 members
Essendon Football Club is excited to announce it has passed the 45,000 member mark just a week out from the start of the home and away season.
The club’s fans have continued to show their support for the club in the most practical way possible by renewing and joining up as members, with the current total putting the club 3,000 members ahead of the same time last year.
Chairman David Evans expressed his appreciation to the fans for their continued commitment to the club.
“We appreciate the support of our fans and our membership numbers tell us that a powerful Bomber Army has emerged this year,” Evans said.
“There is one more thing we need our members to do once the season gets underway and that is come and watch us play.”
The club’s new Flexi memberships have been popular among fans as it offers members great flexibility without the need for a reserved seat.
Flexi game memberships start at just $25 for juniors and $75 for adults with both 3 and 11 game Flexi memberships available.
Head of Consumer Marketing Anita Fox said the new membership options were a key to the club’s membership growth.
“We have been delighted with the feedback this year from our fans telling us how happy they are with these new membership options,” Fox said.
“As well as welcoming back many of our long term members this year, we have seen more junior members sign up than ever before which is a great sign for the future.”
