Essendon has got permission from the AFL for six senior-listed players to take part in this Saturday's VFL practice match against Williamstown at Victoria Park. Draftee Jason Winderlich - yet to make an appearance this pre-season - is among the group which also includes Steven Alessio, Tristan Cartledge, Aaron Henneman, David Hille and Simon O'Keefe. The practice match commences at 2.00pm.
This year’s Wizard Cup saw the introduction of a number of different rules to our game. The nine-point goal and a larger centre square were two of the main changes. There has been discussion about changing different elements of AFL including the suggestion by Bombers’ assistant coach Robert Shaw to introduce the penalty shoot-out to decide the winner of drawn games.
