Melbourne coach Neale Daniher today added more fuel to the fire announcing his resignation at the season’s end.
Despite praising Daniher as a ""very good coach"", Kevin Sheedy today admitted the timing of the announcement might work against the Bombers in Friday night's blockbuster against the Demons.
""It is sure to be a tough game on Friday night as a result. There is no doubt about that,"" he said.
""There will be a lot of emotion out there but we have a game to play and that is what we need to focus on.""
Adding to the emotion is the fact the game is the annual Clash for Cancer. The team is sure to head into the match inspired by the courageous battle team-mate Adam Ramanauskas has had with the disease.
While Sheedy has ruled him out of the clash, the coach has been pleased with the 26-year old's recent form.
""I would love it if I could play Rama this week but I just don’t reckon he is ready for a game like this. It is not really necessary to put that sort of pressure on him and I think that is a fair assessment,"" he said.
""He might be playing in the next week or two. Hurting his hamstring just slowed him down a little bit but he is playing well and we will just see where he goes.""
