It was smiles all round at Windy Hill this week with the two Adams, Adam McPhee and Adam Ramanauskas making headlines. McPhee has just signed a new contract that will see him at the club for another two years. Ramanauskas will continue the milestone theme at Bomberland this Friday when he plays his 100th game for the club.

Kevin Sheedy described the news of McPhee’s re-signing as extremely pleasing for the Essendon Football Club.

""McPhee has been a terrific player for the team and he has really stood up this year. We’re happy to have a top-line club player for quite some time,"" Sheedy said. ""It’s just pleasing to see a young person take this opportunity second time around to play at the level that he really has played at.""

Sheedy said it was a tremendous effort for Ramanauskas to reach the 100 game milestone, especially in light of the cancer scare he went through last season.

""100 games with Adam is a marvellous thing to achieve,"" said Sheedy. ""It’s a little unfortunate it’s in Perth, but to play 100 games, you would take them anywhere if you were a young kid coming and signing up with a league club after being drafted.""

Ramanauskas played his best game for the season last week against Richmond. He was instrumental in the Bombers’ revival after half-time. He collected 22 possession and took seven marks across half-back. He will be keen to repeat the performance this Friday night against
