Essendon Football club invites all supporters to come along next Friday, March 21st and join in the fun at its first open training session for the year. The team is in great shape for the forthcoming season, so make sure you come and see for yourself. Bomber fans can watch the team's final intra-club practice match, enjoy the free sausage sizzle and listen to Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy when he speaks to the crowd following the match.

Following Sheedy's address you will have the opportunity to tour the new training facilities (including the famous ""Spirit to Win"" mural) and get autographs from the Bomber players before they head into the Dome for the Chairman's Season Launch. Gates open for the training session at 4pm and the match kicks off at 4.30pm. The intra-club match will comprise of 15 minutes quarters.

In his latest column, Off The Long Run, Essendon assistant coach Robert Shaw has called for the introduction of the penalty shoot out to decide drawn games during the home and away season.
