Lively forward Leroy Jetta believes a high level of intensity has given the Bombers the best possible opportunity to win each week during the NAB Cup.
Jetta has impressed in every match throughout the pre-season competition and said a strong focus on defence, clearance work and pressure had been important.
“They are the three things we wanted to make sure we did coming into the game and we did all three things pretty well,” Jetta told Bomber TV in the rooms after the win against St Kilda.
“If we do those three things every week then we think we will have a good chance of winning the game.”
Essendon will now take on Collingwood in the NAB Cup Grand Final on Friday night at Etihad Stadium.
“We haven’t played in a final for about ten years so it’s great to have a win and get through,” Jetta said.
“It should be a great game and I just can’t wait to get out there.”
