""It was great to get over to Perth though and play and get a few kicks. I really wanted to go home and play well,"" he said. ""The last two games have been fairly good. I am hoping I can continue the form I am in and still play well.""
Bradley has spent the majority of his football career on the wing. At 196cm tall, he has great pace and agility for his size. He is enjoying the challenge of playing in defence and is picking up pointers from his ‘look-a-like’ Dustin Fletcher.
Bradley laughs about the comparisons already being made about himself and Fletcher. ""I just hope that I don’t lose my teeth!"" Bradley said. ""If I can turn out half as good a player as him, I will be happy.""
The former West Perth player debuted in Round 1 against Port Adelaide. Bradley said it was a game he would prefer to forget. ""I played the following 12 games for Bendigo and have been trying to prepare myself for the AFL level ever since.
""I think now I am a little bit more adapted to it than I was in Round 1. Hopefully I can get a few more senior games under my belt and be better for it next year,"" he said.
""With AFL footy you get hit a lot more and get the wind taken out of you. You just need to get up and go again. Recovery is really important to get up for the next week.""
Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy praised the efforts of the younger players in the side’s 44-point loss to the Eagles. Sheedy said that the young players – Bradley, Nathan Lovett-Murray, Brent Stanton and Ricky Dyson - really stood up for the team.
Bradley said that the young players are hungry for success and are keen to play a big part in this Essendon team. ""Sheeds has been telling us that we are not the last ones picked and we are in the team, so just go out there and play and be apart of it. I think that is what the young players have been doing.
""I feel apart of the team now and I think the rest of the young guys do too. That shows through the young guys playing well,"" Bradley said.
