Essendon will be without vice captain Michael Long for the next two weeks after undergoing arthroscope surgery on Friday. Long withdrew from the Essendon side which took on West Coast at Colonial Stadium today. ""It isn't anything serious - it was more of a maintenance issue,"" Essendon football manager Matthew Drain said today. ""The knee had been giving him some trouble so we thought we may as well get the operation out of the way."" Long is expected to be fit for the Bombers round eight clash with Melbourne.
