Essendon selectors have dropped five players from the side that demolished Carlton for this weekend's Elimination Final. James Hird has been named in a side that has included Steven Alessio, Dean Rioli, Justin Blumfield, Chris Heffernan and Andrew Welsh. Out of the side are David Hille, Sam Hunt, Shane Harvey, Marc Bullen and Aaron Henneman. Should Hird not come up one of the three emergencies - Rob Forster-Knight, Hunt or Bullen - will come in.
All Bomber supporters are invited to sign a condolence book for the late Dick Reynolds in the Essendon Football Club Hall of Fame. The condolence book will be available for signing until Sunday, September 21st. The Hall of Fame is open Tuesday - Friday (10am - 5pm) and Sunday (12pm - 4pm) and is located at Windy Hill, Napier Street, Essendon.
