Samsung Electronics Australia has broken new ground in the Australian TV sports landscape, launching its new range of TV's coming to Australia in 2011 called SMART TV – a new range that will re-define the lounge room sporting experience.

As the first company to introduce 3D TV to Australia in 2010, Samsung’s new range of connected TVs offers a host of features perfect for sports fans. These include Social TV – a feature which allows viewers to chat on Facebook or Twitter on the SMART TV. So as an AFL game unfolds, you and your friends can discuss the best goals, marks and players. In addition, accessed via the TV’s apps store, BigPond AFL Game Analyser is soon-to-be released which allows users to relieve every moment of the AFL season, whenever they want to.

Essendon midfielder Andrew Welsh said the new TV's are perfect for sports fans.

“Samsung’s SMART TV takes watching the game at home to a whole new level,” he said.

“Being able to watch a game from home while chatting and interacting with other supporters through Twitter and Facebook during the match is so exciting! If you can’t be at the game surrounded by fellow Bombers fans, then this is fantastic alternative.”

The new Samsung SMART TV range embodies the latest innovations in four key areas; design, picture quality, next generation 3D technology and Samsung’s unique ‘Smart Hub’, to really enhance your lounge room experience in a stylish and sensory way.

“SMART TV is an evolution in home entertainment,” said Brad Wright, CE Group Product Manager, Samsung Electronics Australia.

Samsung’s new SMART TVs will be available from April 2011. The BigPond AFL Game Analyser will be available through Samsung Apps in late April 2011.
