Essendon has decided not to appeal against the severity of the two-week suspension handed out to star full forward Matthew Lloyd at the AFL tribunal last night. Despite pleading guilty and explaining the circumstances surrounding the collision, the tribunal took a dim view of Lloyd making his second appearance for the season and suspended him for two-weeks for striking Simon Fletcher of Carlton. Lloyd will now miss the Bombers' games against Sydney and Collingwood and has a minimum of five and a maximum of six games to kick the 17 goals he requires to reach 100 for the season.
