Bendigo came back from a five goal deficit at quarter to time to force a tight contest against Casey this afternoon but were unable to get in front with the Scorpions finishing the better and running out 29 point winners.

The Bombers went down 11.14.(80) to 7.9.(51).

Mal Michael was again one of Bendigo's best players and was well supported by on ballers Tom Hislop and Hayden Skipworth and defenders Danny Chartres and James Flaherty.

The loss leaves Bendigo two games out of the top eight with another tough game against top four side Port Melbourne next weekend.

Goals: Hislop, Crameri, Hartigan, Johns, Coghlan, Skipworth, Chartres
