Robert Shaw’s thoughts:
Tristan was the youngest player drafted and he had to balance going to school and completing his VCE with his first year of senior football. We see a lot of potential - he is six foot six, he is quick, he is athletic and he needs to develop physical strength. He is a good project player for us and one that we are looking forward to developing.

What some of fan’s had to say:
Tristan Cartledge has great potential for the years to come. Once ready to play at senior level he will be very valuable. The games he played for Bendigo were all pretty good. Anna Kelty

Didn't see him play at all this year, but has big wraps and should really have a great career at Bomberland. Rachael Bransgrove

I haven't seen much of the boy, but from what is coming out of the Essendon football club, he is sounding like a big long-term prospect. Ben Jenkin

Had some fine games for Bendigo last year. In time should be a regular for the first team. Eamon Stafford

Tristan is doing very well for his age and build. Played well for the Bendigo Bombers and captained his school team to a premiership this year. Needs to bulk up over the pre season, look forward to seeing him play in the 1's next season. Megan Hustwaite

No seen in the big time but read about a few good games in the Bendigo side. Hopefully a young forward or ruck to assist Hille next year and on. Paul Gridley

Haven’t had the chance to see him play however have heard great reviews about his form in the VFL -look forward to seeing him play with the seniors! Tina Saccone

Tristan looks a very good prospect for the future. Hopefully he will be given a chance in 2004 to show his ability in maybe another position. Saw him a couple of times in the Bendigo Bombers and he looks promising. Karole Prince
