The Essendon squad travelled to Darwin yesterday afternoon and was greeted by humid conditions. The team will enjoy a relatively light day to prepare for its match tomorrow night against Fremantle. Fitness coach John Quinn said the players will be consuming an abundance of fluids over the next 48 hours to cope with the hot and humid conditions.

""The players drank a lot of fluids on the flight up here yesterday to prepare them for the heat. They will do the same today and tomorrow because it is important that they hydrate properly before the start of the match so their bodies can handle the increased temperature,"" Quinn said.

The Bombers are scheduled to visit Government house this afternoon for an official function to honour the Long family and this will be followed by a light skills session at 6pm at Marrara Oval.
