BOMBER BEACH BOYS
While most of us relax on the beach at the weekend, it will be a different story for some Essendon players this Sunday. Mark Bolton, Marc Bullen, Adam McPhee, Justin Murphy, Sam Hunt and rookie Adrian Wilson will compete in the Sandringham Triathlon. The players will swim 750m, ride 25km and finish with a 5km run.

It was hard to wipe the smile from Matthew Lloyd’s face on Monday afternoon - the triple Coleman medallist finished fourth in the team’s 3.2km time trial at Princes Park and more importantly knocked 20 seconds off his personal best time. Lloyd is looking strong and fit and his results on the track indicate he is set for a big season, according to Essendon assistant coach Mark Harvey.
