Essendon Football Club is delighted to announce young defender Tayte Pears has signed a new two year contract extension.
General manager football operations Paul Hamilton said the club was extremely pleased to have secured Pears until at least the end of the 2013 season.
“Tayte is one of the premier young defenders in the competition as well as being a quality person to have around the club,"" Hamilton said.
Pears, 21, has had a number of injury setbacks in the past 12 months but Hamilton said the medical prognosis is positive for a return to football in the coming weeks.
