Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin visited Windy Hill today and had a chat to the players about his wildlife adventures. The fanatical Bombers supporter is in Melbourne promoting his new movie - The Crocodile Hunter Collision Course and took time out from his busy schedule to meet the team. Essendon skipper James Hird, along with Sean Wellman and Paul Salmon presented Steve with an Essendon guernsey and football.
The players had the opportunity to ask Steve and wife Terry about their crocodile adventures and how they became involved in what they do. The players were in raptures of laughter hearing tales of Steve wrestling crocodiles and running away from huntsman spiders. Before leaving Windy Hill, Steve wished the players all the best in their quest for the 2002 premiership. ""You brought me more honour than I could possibly bring to you - this is like my home turf being re-visited. Go out there and get them!"" Irwin said.
