Late today more than 16,000 tickets were still available for this Saturday's preliminary final between Essendon and Carlton.

The priority access period for members finished at 5pm today and the remaining tickets are expected to be snapped up quickly tomorrow.

There are still 14,600 tickets available for the Melbourne v Kangaroos preliminary final on Friday night.
