It has been touted as one of the strongest AFL National Drafts since its inception and the Bombers are currently sitting in the box seat. Following the NAB Under-18 championships, Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy talks exclusively to Bomber.tv about the 2006 draft prospects.

""Sometimes you can make the mistake of overlooking a person at a particular time in the draft because you are looking for a ruckman or a midfielder or a tall forward. So it is always difficult and sometimes people don’t realise,"" Sheedy explains.

""Now were are looking for a tall back which is always hard to find; a tall forward or a player that can play centre half forward/centre half back and obviously a top class midfielder.""

""This is a draft you really have to study well to get top choices because, if the depth is as good as we think it is, then the picks between 30 and 65 will also be excellent.""
