The selection committee have made six changes to Essendon's team ahead of Saturday night's Round 3 blockbuster against Carlton at the MCG.

Travis Colyer and Jake Melksham will make their AFL debut, coming into the team along with Kyle Reimers, Nathan Lovett-Murray, Bachar Houli and Sam Lonergan.

Mark McVeigh (illness) and Angus Monfries (quad) will miss through injury this week, while Brent Prismall, Ben Howlett, Alwyn Davey and David Myers have all been omitted.
