The season tickets for Essendon members are now being mailed out and the club expects all members to have their season 2000 ticketing by the end of next week.

The club has faced an enormous task with the ticketing process being complicated by the fact home matches are being played at Colonial Stadium and the MCG.

"It has been a difficult and time-consuming process and we appreciate the patience that everyone has shown," membership manager Bernadette Dargan said.

"However now that the task has been completed I'm sure members will be pleasantly surprised by the ease of entry to Colonial Stadium. The bar-code system will speed things up significantly."

Members need to be aware the tickets are not being sent out in receipt order - they are being posted out in order of ticket category.

Meanwhile, membership numbers at the club continue to grow with the club now surpassing the 26,000 mark.

With the promise of such an exciting season ahead combined with the side's form in the Ansett Cup, it is expected that number will grow even further.

"Now that we have 7000 Premium C seats available free of charge it is even more important to become a member," Dargan said.

"Essendon members will have priority access to these seats from two weeks prior to each home game until noon on the Tuesday before the game.

"It is a great deal for our members and one I'm sure any prospective member would want to take advantage of."
