Star Essendon defender Damien Hardiwck has been voted the Tag Heuer Bomberland Player of the Week after the Bombers' last-gasp win over Sydney last weekend. Hardwick shut-down Sydney captain Paul Kelly and his defensive efforts were simply sensational. Hardwick took out the round 19 poll ahead of Steven Alessio, Jason Johnson, Blake Caracella and Sean Wellman. In tha bsence of James Hird, Jason Johnson closed the gap on the overall leaderboard to just four with three rounds to play. Hird (46) leads Johnson (42), Matthew Lloyd (36) and Sean Wellman (26). The winning voter for round 19 will be announced in this afternoon's ""Competition Update"".
