It has been a long while since the Bombers went into a home and away much under more scrutiny than that which they will come under this Sunday afternoon at Colonial Stadium. Essendon has lost its past two matches to Port Adelaide and Carlton. It is without its skipper James Hird and star full forward Matthew Lloyd. The Bombers also face an in-form Sydney that has won its past five games. According to some, this adds up to one big question mark hanging over the Essendon side that takes the ground this weekend. There is only one way the Essendon side can put the knockers back in their box and that is to win, and win convincingly, against Sydney this weekend.
