Following training today football operations manager, Paul Hamilton, confirmed that Adam McPhee would return from suspension on Sunday and Mark McVeigh would also return from an ankle injury.

""He's (Mark) trained well today which is a pleasing thing for our members and for the rest of the team that he will be available and he should play unless something happens over the next few days,"" Hamilton said.

""We felt we had to get a little more conditioning into him because he's missed a bit of football and it's important that when he comes back he's not just coming back to play but he's coming back to perform and that's something we are really big on. We think he is ready to perform now.

""He is a great leader off the field and now he gets the opportunity to show that on the field, which is a terrific thing.""

Hamilton said this week was the longest selection meeting of the year with Michael Quinn and Sam Lonergan also available to play after overcoming injury and sickness and Bachar Houli and Nathan Lovett Murrayplaying well in the VFL.

""All of a sudden, and probably for the first time in a couple of years, we have got a little bit of depth,"" he said.

""We want to make sure we've 34-35 players we can call on to play AFL football - we are not quite at that level yet but we are on the way. Matthew (Knights) tells me this really is the first one (selection meeting) that we've really hard, strong hard selection dilemmas for a long time.""

He confirmed Kyle Reimers is still about three more weeks away from returning while Andrew Welsh has resumed running and did a light jog today.

""The surgeons are really surprised with the progressAndrew has made,"" Hamilton said.
