The Bombers broke the SCG hoodoo tonight, leading all night to win by 14 points. A fantastic start and accurate kicking by Essendon set up the win, the club's first at the SCG in many years. Darren Bewick provided the highlight with a miraculous goal in the second quarter to brighten what was otherwise an uneventful game.
