The Bendigo Bombers are hoping to finish their promising pre-season on a high note in tomorrow's (Saturday) final practice match against the Casey Scorpions.
The match, which will take place at 1pm at Casey Fields in Cranbourne East, follows the Bendigo Bombers’ 61-point victory over Collingwood two weeks ago, and will be the final practice match before the team kicks off the 2010 VFL season against the Northern Bullants.
Bendigo Bomber’s coach Shannon Grant said he was excited to name up-and-coming talents including Taite Silverlock, Christian Bock, Marcus Marigliani, Stewart Crameri and Michael Quinn who will play alongside suspended Essendon stars Mark McVeigh, Nathan Lovett-Murray and Michael Hurley.
“It will be good to get a look at the new guys coming into the club, I’m looking forward to seeing them play,” Grant said.
According to Grant, the Bendigo Bomber’s 2010 season list features a promising mix of players.
“We have a little more depth on the list than we have had previously, so we’re looking forward to seeing how they will go,” Grant said.
“We have some older more experienced players like Hayden Skipworth and Jason Cloke. It’s been a long pre-season and the players have trained pretty hard, so we’re looking forward to it”.
