Last week Angus Monfries laid down the challenge that he could claim Jobe Watson’s title of the most followed AFL player on Twitter.

Watson, who has been on Twitter for four months, has more than 1500 followers but Monfries is quickly closing the gap after accumulating over 900 followers in less than a week.

Twitter is the fastest growing social networking site on the internet and allows friends, co-workers and even football clubs to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick messages and updates.
Millions of people are using it to keep in touch with their friends and now you'll be able to use Twitter to see what's going on at Windy Hill.
Follow Jobe Watson or Angus Monfries on Twitter today to keep up-to-date with the life of an AFL footballer.
You can also stay in touch with your club via the Essendon Twitter account. Launched at the start of the season, the Essendon Twitter account is regularly updated with news from Windy Hill.
