Windy Hill will come alive tonight as Essendon Football Club hosts the 12th annual Moonee Valley Relay for Life.
The 24-hour relay event, which raises vital funds for the Cancer Council Victoria’s cancer research, education and patient support programs, is more than just a fundraiser – it is an opportunity to get together with your community and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and fight back against a disease that takes too much.
The official opening of the event will be the Candlelight Ceremony which will be held at 9pm tonight.
There will be loads of entertainment and children’s activities to keep everyone amused throughout the course of the event.
People not already registered for the event, or part of a team, are still most welcome to take part in the weekend’s activities. All people need to do is visit the registration desk upon arrival at Windy Hill.
