Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy has lived up to his promise - he is now in possession of a membership card for every Victorian club in the AFL. Sheedy went and purchased the memberships as a show of support, particularly for the clubs that are going through some tough financial times at the moment. And he is a 'card-carrying' member. As you can see he had every card with him when Essendon did battle with Carlton at the MCG on Friday night.
Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy believes surgical procedures performed on James Hird should have remained confidential. “There has been a fair bit said about Jim’s injury and I am not sure whether the doctors have been completely – I wouldn’t say unethical - but sometimes a patient injury and operation should stay closed shop. We know that the confidentiality throughout Australia and the medical profession is pretty important for everyone. Unless Jim has given approval and I don’t know if that has happened,” Sheedy said.
