While there is still plenty of room for improvement for the second year Bomber, they believe he will be better for the experience gained this season and become a regular senior player in 2006.

What some of the Essendon fans had to say:

""Looked very promising! Will be better for the games and showed enough to say he will be a major part of the midfield in years to come."" (Chris Sinclair)

""Only really broke into the seniors late in the year, and ended up playing less games than last year. But the improvement was amazing and hopefully he can improve the same amount for the 2006 season."" (Jake Sluiter)

""Showed he could be a genuine goal-kicking midfielder. Needs to build-up his body to avoid being brushed aside too easily."" (Rick Edwards)

""Ricky is one of those players with natural talent, balanced and a lovely kick. Will continue the tradition of the No.2 he is wearing."" (Tony Cosentino)

""I think this kid has real genuine talent. It's continually said that Essendon needs pace, well Ricky has definitely got it. Throw him out on the wing and just let him run. I think that’s where he's best suited."" (Chris Chatterton)

""The games he played were golden. Some of the goals from the boundary line 50 out were better then any. Hopefully plays more next year. Really could be a champion."" (Mike Molinia)

""Started to mature as an AFL footballer kicking some amazing goals from the pockets. I think he is starting to get comfortable in his own boots, gaining courage every week and gradually increasing. I would love to see him play some more footy and get a permanent place on the senior list."" (Daniel Bisetto)

""This kid has got so much potential. When he played he very rarely turned it over, and his skills are just awesome to watch. His goal kicking on the run is outstanding. He didn't get a lot of game time this year, but with a player like him the club can only go forward."" (Ainsworth Lauren)
