Essendon Football Club today confirmed the delisting of rookie Michael Quinn as the club continues its preparations for the 2012 season.
Essendon general manager football operations Paul Hamilton said it was a tough decision to delist the Irish recruit.
""It was a tough decision to make but he is still very young. Michael has been a great personality around the club so it is sad to see him leave,"" Hamilton said.
""He played eight senior games, won a VFL best and fairest and for a guy that had never really played the game before he arrived at Windy Hill, he has really come a long way.""
The Club would like to thank Michael for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future.
Essendon will communicate any further changes to its playing list as they arise.
