Essendon vice-captain Mark Mercuri has recovered from a groin injury and will take on St Kilda at Colonial Stadium this Sunday afternoon. Mercuri had missed the past two games and he replaces the injured Joe Misiti. Also included for the Essendon was first-gamer James Davies - he has been named on a bench of seven that includes Steven Alessio, Joel Reynolds, Cory McGrath, Daniel McAlister, Shane Harvey and Mark Bolton. The team will be finalised tomorrow.

The aftermatch function is being held at the Windy Hill Social Club after the Round 8 match against St.Kilda.
