Returning captain Dyson Heppell headlines three changes for Essendon for its clash with West Coast at the Gabba on Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old joins Michael Hurley and Sam Draper as inclusions, with omitted trio Andrew Phillips, Brayden Ham and Mason Redman making way.

Heppell last featured in the Bombers' round two win over the Swans, having suffered an ankle fracture during training the week after.

He joins fellow All Australians Hurley, Dylan Shiel, Joe Daniher, Cale Hooker, Zach Merrett and Jake Stringer in the line-up, with Essendon having its full complement of All Australians for the first time since round nine last season.

The match will carry extra significance for Hooker, who will run out for his 200th AFL game.

The 31-year-old will become the 29th player in history to play 200 games for Essendon.
