It was carnage in the Essendon match committee room this afternoon when – as promised -wholesale changes were made to the team that was bitterly disappointing against Carlton last week. Five changes were made and two of these were forced – Joe Misiti is sidelined with a knee injury and Mark Alvey will miss with bruised ribs. Five youngsters return to the team and get another opportunity at senior level.

Bomber fans will be glad to hear that Ted Richards comes back to the side after one week in the VFL. Jason Winderlich, Jobe Watson, Ricky Dyson and also return to the team at the expense of Damian Cupido, Ben Haynes and Nathan Lovett-Murray.
