Essendon’s Round 22 match with be an historic day as club favourites Adam Ramanauskas, Jason Johnson, Damien Peverill and Mal Michael, don the red and black guernsey one last time.

As part of the farewell, the four champions will participate in Essendon’s new tradition of a ‘last lap’ – a post-match lap of honour around the ground which began last year to honour club legends Kevin Sheedy and James Hird.

The last lap gives Essendon fans the chance to say thank you for everything the players have contributed to the Essendon Football Club throughout their careers.

It also provides the players the opportunity to acknowledge the fans for the support they have provided them while playing for the Bombers.

Essendon will also broadcast a video tribute on the scoreboard prior to the game.

Bomber fans can also farewell Ramanauskas, Michael, Peverill and Johnson on the club website by leaving a message of thanks on the online message board by clicking here.

Essendon fans who are unable to make it to the game and say farewell to the players in person, can log onto essendonfc.com.au as live scoring becomes even more fan-focused this weekend.

This week, Bomber fans will not only keep up to date with all the action on the field, but can also chat with other Essendon fans at the same time.

Fans can post comments as the game progresses and read what other Bomber fans are thinking as the game is played. Posted comments will appear under the scoreboard, so you won't miss a moment of the action on field or online.

Essendon fans can also test their footy knowledge by predicting what is going to happen. Who'll kick the first goal of the quarter? Will there be a goal or will it be a behind to start the quarter? Give us the tip and show everyone else watching the game just how much you know about footy!

So if you can't make it to the Dome to say farewell, make sure you're online as essendonfc.com.au takes watching footy online another step closer to being there with the crowd.
