Hille's confidence is slowing growing and says the other players have been very supportive as he tries to find his feet at senior level. Hille is in the fortunate position of having a wealth of ruck experience to draw on this season - teammates Paul Salmon and Steve Alessio and John Barnes as ruck coach. ""Barnes, Salmon and Alessio are fantastic and very knowledgeable. They have over 600 games of experience between them so that is hard to beat. They give me tips and explain things well,"" the 20-year-old said. Hille has been focussing on improving different facets of his game - primarily his positioning around the ground and tap work. ""in the round one match, Geelong ruckman Stephen King beat me 30 to 10 taps, so I still have a lot of work to do,"" Hille said.
Hille is now focussing on the task at hand this weekend - the Bombers take on Richmond Friday night at the MCG. Richmond has a number of quality talls including Brad Ottens, Matthew Richardson and Greg Stafford and Hille is certain to cross paths with them all. ""I will be looking at tapes of the Richmond talls today and tomorrow. Ottens and Stafford have been sharing the ruck work so far this season so I will most likely pick up one of them. I am looking forward to the challenge,"" Hille said.
