Essendon Football Club is pleased to confirm ruckman DavidHille will remain a Bomber after he re-signed for season 2013.

The one year deal will see the veteran line up for his 14thAFL season with Essendon.

The 2008 Best and Fairest winner said he feels he still hasplenty to offer the Club in 2013.

“My hunger, desire and passion to compete at the highestlevel is as strong as it has ever been,” said Hille.

“My body feels really good and I’m looking forward to thechallenge and hard work of the upcoming pre-season.”

“As a playing group we’ve come a long way together and Iwant to make sure we continue down that path.”

Senior coach James Hird said David’s leadership and approachto football would continue to be a great advantage to the Club’s younger players.

“David is a terrific competitor and leader for the EssendonFootball Club and we’re really pleased he’s decided to play on next season,”said Hird.

“He has a great philosophy and attitude to football and yousee the way he trains and plays he’s willing to do whatever it takes to take thisClub to future success.”

A Life Member of the Essendon Football Club, David hasplayed 193 games since making his debut in 2001.

The ruckman has also proved a handy option up forward, booting152 goals.

David was recruited from Dandenong Under-18’s with theClub’s third round selection (number 40 overall) in the 1999 National Draft.
