Good news for the Bombers this afternoon with the charge against Dean Solomon being withdrawn by the AFL. Solomon was reported in the first quarter of Saturday night's match for allegedly striking Jason Akermanis of the Brisbane Lions. Dustin Fletcher will also be available for selection this week after suspension kept him out of the Round 1 match and the 2002 Semi final against Port Adelaide.
Essendon will make at least two changes to the side that went down to Brisbane last weekend with Dustin Fletcher and Paul Barnard both certain starters. Fletcher has completed his suspension while Barnard has recovered from an ankle injury. There was further good news with David Hille's rolled ankle not seriously damaged - he too will play against Melbourne.
