Today on Bomber.tv, Essendon fitness coach John Quinn and his assistant Joel Hocking give an update on how the sidelined Bombers are progressing and in particular the rehabilitation of captain Matthew Lloyd from his hamstring injury.

""I have had a lot of people coming up to me saying ‘I have heard he may never play football again’ and ‘this is a career ending injury’. It’s not that. It’s a terrible injury to have but if you had to classify them the injury he has got is the best of that terrible injury to get,"" Quinn explained.

""The reality is that we could have Matthew Lloyd back probably at round 17 or 18 this year but we are not going to attempt that. We are going to take a conservative approach and have him 100% ready to go for pre-season and certainly for Round 1.""
