Essendon will play its long-awaited VFLW preliminary final against Geelong at Windy Hill on Saturday, following Victoria's lockdown being lifted.

The match will begin at 12pm, but with certain COVID-19 restrictions still in place, fans unfortunately won't be able to attend. They'll instead be able to tune into a live stream here.

The Bombers were originally slated to face the Cats on July 17 until Victoria's lockdown delayed the game by two weeks.

Should Essendon defeat Geelong, it will advance to the VFLW Grand Final against Collingwood at North Port Oval on Sunday, August 8.

This season's VFLW finals series has marked the Bombers' first since its inception in 2018.
