Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy said tonight the treatment handed out to full forward Matthew Lloyd last Saturday was nothing new but as far he was concerned the matter didn't need to be taken any further. Debate has been raging over Kretiuk's attempt to hit and garb at the hand of Lloyd that was injured against Fremantle nine weeks ago. ""There are more important things to worry about. The AFL aren't probably too happy about it but you just need to get on with the game,"" Sheedy said. ""He gets it every week. I haven't even discussed it - we are just trying to get ready for the West Coast Eagles.""

Sheedy said Essendon players would also physically test players returning from injury. ""Well if (Chris) Grant had a crook shoulder, we would test it out but it was just hard to get near him on Saturday night. If you pass fit, you go out there and you play - that is the way we play it. You play hard,"" Sheedy said. He said in his opinion Kretiuk had not contravened the rules and that he would be surprised if the AFL took it further.
