""Showed some promise for a first year player. Needs to bulk up and make himself a regular in 2005."" Luke Werner

""What a find, at such a high pick in the last year draft he has shown a lot of promise. Ricky has such a lovely kick on him and I think he and Stanton are our future."" Lawrence Hanna

""An impressive debut season from this speedy winger/midfielder. Looking forward to seeing more of him next year as he gains a better understanding of footy at the AFL level and adds a few more kilograms to his frame."" Travis Vandermeer

""Good first up season. Really impressive. What a steal at pick # 44 in the draft !!! Gone past Winderlich, Reynolds and other 2nd and 3rd year mid-field players who have struggled (for whatever reasons) to make an impact. Looking forward to an even better 2005 from Ricky."" Alan Fairbairn

""I think he will be the best of all the kids. His left foot is a weapon and he has plenty of toe. He was dragged on and off the ground too quickly last season and that effected him. Cant wait to see him play more and give us the midfield weapon we severely lack."" Mark Mannion

""Showed some promise and may be what we are looking for in the midfield. Has pace, good disposal and makes space. Has a very good future if he continues to work on his game, needs some quality game time."" Frederick Borg

""Very good season by Ricky. Was brent Stanton's only challenger for best first year player. Has good speed and reasonable skills. He also has a habit of kicking goals too. He is a player of the future."" Jake Sluiter

""Showed great promise for a first year player. Obviously needs to continue to work hard on his game and disposal but his future looks like being a long one at the Bombers."" Matthew Tait
