Matilda Dyke joined the Bombers as a replacement player for Cat Phillips, who will sit out the season as she expects her first child. Dyke made the move to the NEC Hangar from Narrogin in Western Australia after impressing in the WAFLW for Claremont. The 21-year-old is a 2022 WAFLW Premiership player and for the first 10 games of the 2023 season, Dyke was ranked No.2 in the league for hit-outs.
