The Hall of Fame Induction, held on March 15, will see James Hird inducted as a Club Legend and three former players to be inducted as Life Members.
Hird’s incredible playing career saw the champion win five best and fairest medals at Essendon and the Brownlow Medal in 1996 as a dual winner. Hird also led the Bombers as captain to the 2000 Premiership and is ranked the third best player in the Club’s history.
Recognising the true champions of the Essendon Football Club, the Hall of Fame Induction will be held at the Palladium, Crown Casino on Tuesday 15 March, 2011 from 6.30pm onwards.
Legends of the Essendon Football Club include Bill Hutchison, Dick Reynolds, John Coleman, Simon Madden, Tim Watson and Michael Long.
