Here's what some of the Essendon fans had to say:

Was terrific to see Jason back playing,he has great rebounding speed and can finish off with a goal, looking forward to a great 2010 from him (Cheryl Spivey)

Excellent season from Jason coming back from injury. I expect him to continue to improve and injury free will certainly provide the run in Knights game plan. Always gives 120% and always seems totally spent at the end of a game and as such, I see him as an important part of our leadership group in years to come (Clifford Davison)

Much improved player who needs to take another step next year. Play half-forward rotating him through the midfield. Needs to kick 30+ goals and average 20+ possessions for the bombers to play finals. Will be one of the most important players in the strucrure of the team next year (Ricke Dovey)

What an amazing come-back given he a had debilitating back injury last year. His run and carry and delivery to the foward 50 has been fantastic. Has become an important cog in the midfield and with Lovett being traded, his leg speed will be even more vital in the centre square (Nghia Nguyen)

Jason had a very good year, he exceded expectations. After that back injury last year wasn't sure what to expect. He showed he has a lot of talent throughout the 2007 season and he showed it again this year. Has great pace beautiful skills and decision making and has the ability to go foward and kick multiple goals (Peter Bonfa)

Fantasic season coming of some terrible injuries. Real X-Factor in our side with his pace and skill. Showed some great leadership and is becoming one of our most important players. Keep it up Winder (Ben Riley)

Phenomenal improvement. Hope his body holds up because his hard running and pace enabled us to turn defence into attack quickly. Breaking out of the middle, he was a vital outlet for defenders to aim for and his disposal has improved markedly (Michael Bourke)

An outstanding year from Jason Winderlich. Won the medal for best-on-field at the Dreamtime at the 'G game vs Richmond. Jason has really stepped it up this year and is close to joining Jobe Watson as an elite midfielder at the Bombers (Joseph Attard)

A great comeback from injury and beginning to mature as an elite footballer. Another step forward in 2010 and he'll be a huge asset to the Dons. His speed and commitment are inspirational (Jeff Hammond)

Only a couple of years ago, Licher copped a lot of flack from supporters. He was recruited for his pace, and his skills have started to come good. Still some improvement to go (Trevor Birks)
