There was good news on the contract front this week for the Bombers with Mark McVeigh agreeing to a new two-year deal with the Club. McVeigh has had an excellent season for the Bombers and would be one of the leading contenders for the Crichton Medal at this stage of the season.

McVeigh, 25, has played 135 games for the Bombers since making his debut in 1999. McVeigh has done some excellent defensive jobs for the Bombers this season but showed his versatility against Brisbane tonight, spending some time up forward and kicking some important goals.
