Damian Cupido is in doubt for selection for this weekend's match against Melbourne. The 22-year-old is having an ongoing battle with his knee after recovering from pre-season surgery. ""It is just annoying him at the moment. It is one of those injuries where you can’t really push off on it at the moment. He has played to the extent where he has the power in his body to play,"" Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy said.

""He has got one of those sort of bodies that has got a bit of quickness and speed because the formation of his back and backside is very powerful. But he just can’t use it at the moment with his knee,"" he said.

Cupido did work in the gym this afternoon before making a late appearance on the track at the Bombers' skills session. Cupido didn't take part in training, instead he was restricted to walking laps due to his knee soreness.

Cupido hasn't produced the kind of football that we saw last season, with his knee still causing him problems. He has played just two senior games this year and spent the past three matches playing for Bendigo.

""I would love to have him back and fit and ready to go. He had an operation over summer but it has just been annoying him still, but in a different spot,"" Sheedy said.
